Tokonoma y Somoto Blues Band son permutaciones de un mismo colectivo.
Somos artistas visuales que tenemos amor y compromiso por lo que es el sonido y la música. Por ende la vida nos ha reunido con la finalidad de experimentar e improvisar; y como extensión de nuestras prácticas visuales creamos escenarios tan grotescos como líricos por medio del sonido.
Además del arte visual, tenemos las influencias del free jazz, el heavy metal, la música concreta, etc.
Nuestro sonido nace meramente de la sinergia encontrada en la improvisación grupal y la tenaz repetición de los ensayos como puntos de encuentro sociales y de catarsis.

We are visual artists who have a love and commitment to sound and music. Therefore, life has brought us together with the purpose of experimenting and improvising; and as an extension of our visual practices we create scenarios as grotesque as they are lyrical through sound.
In addition to visual art, we have the influences of free jazz, heavy metal, concrete music, etc.
Our sound is born merely from the synergy found in group improvisation and the tenacious repetition of rehearsals as social meeting points and catharsis.
