NADIE
NADIE arises from the reunion with David, drums, and Fufo, guitar, after many years of musical inactivity. Together with Nacho (guitar) they start playing versions of grunge bands and over time they embrace new, riskier styles with the possibilities offered by more underground alternative music. In those early days, instruments more unrelated to rock, such as the Korg Polisyx synthesizer or the Casio PT20, fell into their hands and they began to play using pedals on infinite loops, creating curious atmospheres, almost drone. Later they decide to add acoustic drums to their music and continue without a bass player: two guitars, (Fufo and Nacho) and drums (David). They record a first demo together with Lluís Paloma on bass (with whom they still occasionally collaborate).
The trio decide to go by this funny, weird, fickle name that is NADIE. "We're called NADIE ..because NOBODY is one of the main characters in Jim Jarmusch's film Dead Man (in it a Native American Indian cures an ill-fated William Blake played by Jonny Deep. NOBODY, the wild man who lives in harmony with nature, with its beliefs and natural potions...an example of total authenticity in these modern times".
NADIE's music is also fed by various cinematographic references and the atmospheres they invoke (David Lynch, Buñuel, Wim wenders, Coppola, De Sica, Martín Scorsesse...)
NADIE seeks to create a sound climax stripped of political attitudes or concrete messages and they share with the German experimental musicians of the early seventies the idea of ​​free creation through improvisation and learning from their mistakes and then overcoming them.
"We project the sound into the musical field around us. We explore acoustic interpretations of hyper-reality, which in every space and every moment interacts with the density of the air."
NADIE surge del reencuentro con David, batería, y Fufo, guitarra , tras muchos años de inactividad musical. Junto a Nacho (guitarra) empiezan tocando versiones de bandas grunge y con el tiempo abrazan nuevos estilos más arriesgados con las posibilidades que ofrecen las músicas alternativas más underground. En esos inicios caen en sus manos instrumentos más ajenos al rock como el sintetizador Korg Polisyx o el Casio PT20 y comienzan a tocar usando pedales sobre loops infinitos, creando atmósferas curiosas, casi drone. Más adelante deciden añadir una batería acústica a su música y continuan sin bajista: dos guitarras, (Fufo y Nacho) y batería (David). Graban una primera maqueta junto a Lluís Paloma al bajo (con el que colaboran todavía ocasionalmente).
El trío decide usar este nombre tan divertido, extraño y voluble que es NADIE. "Nos llamamos NADIE ..porque NADIE es uno de los protagonistas de la película Dead Man de Jim Jarmusch (en ella un indio nativo norteamericano cura a un malogrado William Blake encarnado por Jonny Deep. NADIE, el hombre salvaje que vive en armonía con la naturaleza con sus creencias y pócimas naturales...un ejemplo de total autenticidad en estos modernos tiempos actuales".
La música de NADIE también se alimenta de variados referentes cinematográficos y las atmósferas que éstos invocan (David Lynch, Buñuel, Wim wenders, Coppola, De Sica, Martín Scorsesse...)
NADIE busca crear un clímax sonoro despojado de actitudes políticas o mensajes concretos y comparten con los músicos experimentales alemanes de principios de los setenta la idea de creación libre mediante la improvisación y aprendiendo de sus errores para luego superarlos.
