Wolfgang Scholz proviene de una familia en la que la música ha tenido siempre un papel importante -todos sus hermanos saben tocar un instrumento-.
Obtiene su primera experiencia profesional como ingeniero de sonido con la banda de rock de Duisburgo, Helium Head.
Poco después, funda la banda avant-garde Lila Blocksberg junto al multiinstrumentista Bernd Wiegmann.
Otros hitos en su carrera musical como teclista son la banda Feudel Feudal, que ha trabajado con elementos de teatro rock, y Koan, que amplió su set tradicional -teclas, bajo, guitarra, percusión- con músicos invitados -tr, flauta, tuba y saxo en ocasiones, dependiendo de la formación- y también incursiones en los reinos electrónicos.

Wolfgang Scholz comes from a family in which music has always played an important role - all his siblings can play an instrument.
He gained his first professional experience as a sound engineer with the Duisburg rock band Helium Head.
Soon after, he founded the avant-garde band Lila Blocksberg with the multi-instrumentalist Bernd Wiegmann.
Other stations in his musical career as a keyboardist were in the band Feudel Feudal, which worked with rock theater elements, and Koan, who expanded their traditional set - keys, bass, guitar, percussion - with guest musicians - tr, flute, tuba and sax sometimes - depending on the line-up - also frolic in electronic realms.
