Melophobia (μελωφοβία) is an experimental project started in Greece in 2001. Melophobia's main interest in electro-acoustic / improv / experimental music is crafted and assembled through various analogue sources. The abstract manipulations of sound are alternately ambient and aggressive. Almost all of the sounds until the first halt in 2016 are generated, processed, recorded and played back out of cassettes. These mysterious beings orbiting in separate spheres and creating a delectable improv-graced ambiance. All releases have a do-it-yourself punk aesthetic. Various names are used along along with Melophobia since early 2000s and deserted, possibly more not known.

In 2020 melophobia celebrates the 20th anniversary of its existence in the sonic world with 'K' [ˈkæpə]. Twenty years of experimental manipulations released in various formats as cassettes, mini discs, floppy discs, compact discs, lathe cuts, digital files, hand-written files and more.

Hamfuggi Records will re-release a set of Melophobia's works, including special bonus material from the original recordings, that most of them were circulated in small number of various formats aforementioned.
